Notice: The Christmas Party/Auction meeting will begin with food & refreshments at 6PM.

 Rob Rohrbach

Rob Rohrbach was the owner of the Little Lehigh fly shop for many years before his retirement. Since then Rob has taken up the life of a ”Trout Bum” and has traveled the country exploring streams and lakes across the country. He has spent most of his time camping and fishing around the country. These travels serve as a backdrop for the presentation. So, stop being confused by aquatic insects. Rob promises to provide an easy, humorous, entertaining and understandable approach to entomology for the fly fisherman without acquiring a degree in Latin or entomology.

* Special Guest Appearance* Gary Borger will be coming to the meeting with Rob and will be glad to sign his books.

Paula Piatt

"Heads Up! Protecting Our Headwaters and Trout Habitat.”  - focuses on the importance of protecting our wild and native trout populations. I talk about  why headwater streams are important, as well as the current and potential impacts on the streams and the habitat surrounding them. I talk  about the state's current stream assessment and designation process and Pennsylvania's Unassessed Waters Initiative. The presentation also includes information on current legislative issues that affect fish and wildlife habitat, and how your club can help with advocacy issues if members are so inclined.

Steve Nack & Sam Vigorita

Sam and Steve will help you prepare for the coming season. They'll show a short slide presentation on what patterns to have in your fly box and also give you a peek into their fly boxes.

Gregg Hoover

Greg Hoover is widely acknowledged as the world's most knowledgeable fly fishing entomologist. He received his Master's degree based on his thesis researching Penns Creek's famous green drake hatch. Greg has conducted hundreds of seminars on the identification and imitation of trout stream insects and their relatives. We should point out that Greg also knows terrestrial insects too! He teaches entomology at the Pennsylvania State University's main campus, where for the past 10 years, Greg has enjoyed his role as the faculty advisor to the Penn State Fly Fishing Club. He was the recipient of the George Harvey Award for unselfishly promoting the sport of fly fishing through teaching of others. Greg is also the co-author of "Great Rivers, Great Hatches" (Stackpole) and has written various research reports and publications

Pat Cohen - Bass Bugs

Pat Cohen thinks big. The Cobleskill, NY native incorporated a youth spent chasing Schoharie Creek bass with skills honed as a tattoo artist to produce monster-sized fly-fishing lures. He's creating a new wave of flies using traditional materials to produce some surprisingly untraditional flies. Although he'll tie everything from streamers to nymphs, Cohen specializes in deer hair bass bugs. He's obsessed with giant flies and what he can catch on them. For a new generation of fly fishermen, Cohen said, "there are no rules now for chasing monsters with flies.

Fishy Fullum

I have been tying flies since the early fifties and teaching fly tying for over 30 years. During the past twenty years I have designed nearly a hundred and fifty productive, innovative patterns for everything from bluegills to bonefish. Many of these patterns have been featured in my CREATIVE TYING column published in FLY TYER MAGAZINE throughout the past 15 years. More than fifty unique patterns were also included in my two fly tying books, FISHY’S FLIES and FISHY’S FAVORITES. My latest book TYING FLIES WITH COMMON HOUSEHOLD MATERIALS is based on the many unusual materials I have wrapped around a hook during my time at the vise.
